Cottage Food

Home-to-Market Act, or cottage food law, allows foods to be prepared and packaged in a home-kitchen for sale directly to the consumer. The operator must register with the health department of the county that they live in.

Operators can submit the completed Application for Cottage Food Operations Registration as well as a Cottage Food Home Self-Certification Checklist to be reviewed, once approved the operator can sell approved products as outlined in Home-to-Market Act SB20007.
