WILL COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT
The Will County Health Department Provides Family Health Services to Adults, Children and Adolescents.
The Division of Family Health Services provides a wide variety of services to the community, including health education and prevention programs, maternal child health programs, Immunizations, and communicable diseases surveillance.
AOK (ALL OUR KIDS) EARLY CHILDHOOD NETWORK
A community-based collaboration that is committed to developing a high-quality, well-coordinated, easily accessible system of care that will promote positive growth and development for children 0-5 and their families.
BETTER BIRTH OUTCOMES
A case management program designed to promote healthy pregnancies and healthy babies by providing pregnant women with education and support.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SCREENINGS FOR CHILDREN
Developmental screenings provide parents and professionals with information on whether a child’s development is similar to children of the same age.
EPIDEMIOLOGY & COMMUNICABLE DISEASE
Protecting and promoting the health of residents through public health surveillance, field investigations, health assessments and epidemiological studies.
HEALTHWORKS OF ILLINOIS
A case management program designed to meet the medical needs of children under 21 who are in custody of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).
HIGH RISK INFANT FOLLOW-UP
A comprehensive program that assures easier access to medical care and provides support for high-risk infants.
HIV, STD & PrEP CLINIC
Provides quality HIV/STD prevention and care services, including PrEP (Pre-exposure prophylaxis), for those at highest risk of acquiring HIV/STD’s, linkage to care for person’s living with HIV, surveillance of HIV cases and HIV support group.
IMMUNIZATIONS
Provides a full variety of recommended childhood and adult immunizations to the residents of Illinois.
IRIS REFERRAL NETWORK
The Integrated Referral and Intake System (IRIS) is a web-based tool to help organizations connect the families they serve to the right resources in their community.
INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL IMMUNIZATION CLINIC
Provides comprehensive consultation and immunization services for persons traveling abroad, by appointment only.
LEAD POISONING PREVENTION
A comprehensive community intervention program available to prevent childhood lead poisoning, provides nursing case management and environmental inspections for children ages six and under with elevated blood levels.
MAPP
The MAPP Collaborative works to ensure that assessment, policy, and assurance are met within the Public Health System.
TEEN PREGNANCY PREVENTION
Helping to reduce the rates of teen pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, and existing health disparities and to put youth on the path to a successful future.
TOBACCO CONTROL & PREVENTION
Offers services to decrease tobacco use rates, keep youth tobacco-free, and eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke.
WELL-WOMAN PROGRAM
The purpose of this program is to increase knowledge and awareness of well-woman visits and resources in the community to receive these services.
WIC (WOMEN, INFANTS & CHILDREN)
WIC (Women, Infants, and Children Supplemental Nutrition Program) provides assistance from nutritionists and nurses for mothers, from their pregnancy to the child’s fifth birthday.
