WILL COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT
The Will County Health Department Provides Environmental Health Services to Meet Health Regulations and Standards.
The Environmental Health Division provide inspections of public food facilities, water wells, waste water treatment systems, complaints, swimming pools and bathing beaches, tanning and body art facilities, non-community public water supplies, west nile program and radon. BODY ART & TANNING FACILITIES
Conducts inspections of all tanning and body art facilities to assure they are operating in accordance with the appropriate state regulations.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH FORMS
View environmental health application forms for food facilities, events, wells and septics, west nile and swim facilities.
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH LABORATORY
Conduct analysis on routine bacterial screens and counts, chlorine checks, nitrate, fluoride, and hardness analysis.
FILING A COMPLAINT
Evironmental health investigates all complaints received from the public in all of our regulated programs.
FOOD SAFETY
Conducts plan reviews, opening, and routine inspections at food service/stores and temporary food events.
ORDINANCES
View septic wells, swim facility, sewage and food sanitation ordinances.
PFAS INFORMATION

RADON PROGRAM
Provides radon education and the sale of radon test kits.
SAFE SWIMMING FACILITIES
Conducts inspections at all public swimming pool and bathing beach facilities.
WELL & SEPTIC
Conducts evaluations, permitting, inspections, sampling of well water, and discharging wastewater treatment systems, well sealings, tank abandoments and pumper truck/dump site inspections.
WEST NILE, MOSQUITO MITIGATION
Provides education, larvicide, and vector control/surveillance. Staff trap and test mosquitos for West Nile Virus and collect dead birds to be tested for West Nile Virus.
