The Will County Health Department has been awarded with a Silver Designation for workplace health by the Will County MAPP (Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships) Collaborative.

The Health Department was honored for their employee health initiatives during a special MAPP luncheon at Silver Cross Hospital on Friday October 12th.

WCHD Wellness Committee co-chairs Nicole Garrett and Alyssa Shelton (pictured with WCHD Executive Director Sue Olenek) expressed their appreciation of the moment from the MAPP luncheon. “Receiving an award that represents the emphasis that both the agency committee and agency staff place on wellness and health is an honor, we want to promote worksite wellness and support staff’s desire to make healthy lifestyle choices.”

In addition, the Will County Health Department has been designated as a Bronze Level Workplace by the AHA (American Heart Association). This award also recognizes the efforts of employers that emphasize healthy living through a variety of programs for employees.
