At the Will County Health Department, we are here for mothers to provide supplemental resources that benefit your family.

WIC Provides nutrition education, and supplemental funds for the purchase of healthy foods for pregnant and postpartum women, infants, and children up to the age of 5.

Better Birth Outcomes (BBO) provides parental education and support during your pregnancy and for 6 weeks after delivery to help you have a healthy baby.

You can receive WIC services at our Main Office in Joliet, Northern Branch in Bolingbrook, or Eastern Branch in Monee.

WIC

WIC provides food, nutrition counseling and referrals to help women from the beginning of their pregnancy to their child’s fifth birthday. WIC Services are provided free to eligible women and pregnant women and women up to one year after delivery, infants, and children up to age 5. Applicants must live in Illinois and meet income requirements set by the Federal Government.

Better Birth Outcomes

Better Birth Outcomes is a prenatal education and support program that helps women achieve healthy pregnancies and healthy babies. Nurse case managers meet with clients monthly in the Health Department offices and in the home. Transportation assistance (gas cards) is provided on an as needed basis.
