New Aurora testing site to open September 30th

The free drive-through COVID-19 testing site at the Chicago Premium Outlets in Aurora is relocating on September 30th, 2020.

The new testing site will be relocated to 2450 N. Farnsworth Ave., in Aurora, IL, less than half a mile from the Chicago Premium Outlets. The free drive-through and walk-up testing site is open 7 days a week from 8am until 4pm.

The new Aurora testing site will continue to serve the outer suburbs of Chicago, being the third-most active site in the Northeast region, providing an average of 450 free tests to the surrounding communities.

Ten community-based testing sites (CBTS) are open daily throughout Illinois, providing an average of 25,000 free tests throughout the state. CBTS are located in Chicago, Harwood Heights, Arlington Heights, Aurora, Waukegan, South Holland, Rockford, Champaign, Peoria, and East St. Louis.

Pop-up mobile testing sites operate throughout the State, with the goal of reducing immediate outbreaks, focusing on underserved and marginalized communities. Times and locations of mobile sites vary and change to meet the needs of communities with emerging outbreaks.

Testing is free and available to all regardless of age, COVID-19 symptoms, or insurance status. Parent or guardian must be present and able to provide consent for individuals under the age of 18.
