Job Summary
This candidate will be responsible for providing a wide array of services to youths and their families to promote opportunities for maximum independence in the community. Primary responsibilities include the assessments, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring, and ongoing evaluation of services provision to severely emotionally disturbed (SED) or mentally ill individuals and their families. The responsible individuals will collaborate with medical and other allied personnel in diagnosis and treatment planning and delivery. Candidates may be required to work Saturdays and evening hours, along with travel. Schedule Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:30 am-4:30 pm, Thursday 10:00 am-6:00 pm, and Saturday 8:00 am-4:00 pm.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
An accredited Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Sociology. Must have successfully completed a practicum or internship that included a minimum of 750 hours of supervised direct service or have one year of clinical experience under the supervision of a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts.
REQUIREMENTS
Must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License with minimum auto liability insurance. Verification of employment eligibility or U. S. citizenship.
DESIRED
Experience with child and adolescent mental health and knowledge of substance abuse counseling, crisis intervention, and case management a plus. Bilingual in Spanish.
Salary Range
Grade 14 Hourly Wage ($28.88-$42.88)
