“I was not someone who was super concerned about getting very sick with Covid. I assumed it would feel like the flu for a few days and then I would recover. After all, I was someone who exercised and ate healthy every day, with no underlying health issues, and was rarely sick.
I was wrong!
Covid itself was tolerable for me aside from being short of breath. It’s what happens after Covid is gone that can become extra frightening, at least in my experience.
I am now 3 months post Covid and not only do I now have POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome), a condition that affects blood flow and causes dizziness, but daily I’m having intolerance to exercise, shortness of breath, dizziness, chills, nausea, and more; I’m now also beginning to lose my hair.
Covid does not age discriminate, nor does it just attack your lungs. It can attack your heart, your nervous system, and more, and it can wreak havoc on your entire body.
Please do your part by wearing a mask and social distancing.”
