Community Health Educator I or II – FHS/141
The Community Health Educator will be responsible for all activities required by assigned Community Health Initiatives/Grants, including Illinois Tobacco Free Communities (Tobacco Program) and the HIV/STI Prevention and Pre/Post-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP/PEP) programs.
Certified Medical Assistant (OB-GYN) – CHC/012
Applicant will be working assisting medical physicians and nurses in patient care activities, including collecting information from clients, escorting patients, preparing medical records, stocking exam rooms, and drawing blood, along with performing in-house procedures.
Physician Provider – Family Medicine – CHC/056
Provides a full scope of primary and preventative health care services to all adults and children to meet the health care needs of clinic patients.
Mental Health Counselor II – (Child & Adolescent) School-Based Program – BH/107
This candidate will be responsible for providing a wide array of services to youth clients and their families to promote opportunities for maximum independence in the community.
Outreach Specialist I or II – FHS/134
Paraprofessional position, which promotes WCHD and its services to the community. Clients vary with each program and division. The candidate must be able to work occasional nights and weekends, and travel as required by the program.
Environmental Health Assistant – EH/022
Under the direct supervision of the Program Coordinator of Environmental Health. Performs routine clerical duties for environmental programs such as sewage programs and well programs, including but not limited to issuing permits, food programs, collecting fees, extensive record keeping, preparing outgoing correspondence, and customer service for all Environmental Health Programs.
Communicable Disease Investigator I, II, or III
Candidate will conduct investigation, surveillance, prevention, and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases of public health. Areas of importance will be vaccine-preventable diseases, sexually transmitted diseases, bloodborne pathogens, foodborne diseases, waterborne diseases, airborne diseases, vector-borne diseases, zoonotic diseases, healthcare-associated infections, and emerging infectious diseases.
Mental Health Counselor II or III-Substance Use Treatment Focused – BH/089
Provides comprehensive assessments, evaluations, personalized treatment planning, and comprehensive group and individuals therapeutic services to adults and adolescents experiencing life-area impact from the use of substances.
Health Navigator (Temporary with no benefits) – ADM/1030-201
High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum one (1) year of experience performing direct education, outreach, fielding referrals to hard-to-reach communities and/or volunteer or professional experience in community outreach, grassroots, or advocacy.
Outreach Specialist I or II – CHC/132
This position is responsible for participating in and creating four (4) to eight (8) outreach activities per month for community residents who lack healthcare and health insurance access.
Environmental Health Laboratory Intern (Spring) – EH/1030-002
An Environmental Health Laboratory Intern will become familiar with all environmental health laboratory programs implemented by the Will County Health Department. Interns will assist analysts with laboratory setup and cleanup, running drinking and septic water analyses, preparing media and chemicals, and performing data entry.
Health Navigator (Temporary with no benefits) – ADM/1030-200
The Health Navigator works in collaboration with the Health Equity Team, local Community-Based organizations, local health providers, various county departments, community leaders, and local social service organizations to ensure that health information, education, and health care access opportunities are available to all residents in Will County.
Customer Service Specialist – CHC/046
The Customer Service Specialist will serve as the liaison between the Will County Health Department and its current and potential customers, clients, and patients (patrons).
Patient Registration Clerk – CHC/108
Candidate will perform clerical duties with a high level of data entry with completing Patient Registration by providing information regarding registration and eligibility process; receiving, verifying, collecting fees, and entering data.
Infectious Disease Manager – CHC/026
This candidate will oversee and manage clinical operations for the Care Clinic at the Community Health Center. Performs clinical nursing functions for the Care Clinic and Infectious Disease (ID) provider.
