WCHC Closed For Labor Day

The Will County Health Department and Community Health Center will be closed at all locations on Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8th.

WCHD Adds More Naloxone Distribution Boxes

The Will County Health Department continues its efforts to reduce opioid overdose deaths, making access to the life-saving, overdose-reversing drug Naloxone easier by placing more red Naloxone distribution boxes throughout the County.

Additional Mosquitoes Test Positive for West Nile Virus

The Will County Health Department’s Environmental Health division announced that mosquitoes collected in Crete, and Frankfort have tested positive for West Nile virus [WNV]. Mosquitoes in Bolingbrook, Joliet, Plainfield and Mokena also tested positive for WNV earlier this summer.
