Due to the sharp reduction in COVID-19 positive cases in Will County, the movement from substantial community transmission to low community transmission, the increase in icu bed availability, and the lifting of the mask mandate by governor Pritzker, the board of health president has determined that meeting in person is both practical and prudent for all meetings of the Will County Board of Health effective march 11, 2022.

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced the first human case of West Nile Virus (WNV) in Will County.
Behavioral Health Division to Host Back-to-School Fair on August 8
The Will County Health Department’s Behavioral Health Division will host a back-to-school fair on Friday, August 8. The event will take place in the Community Room of the Will County Health Department’s main office located at 501 Ella Ave. in Joliet and is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Will County Community Health Center Expanding Services At Northern Branch Office In Bolingbrook
The Will County Community Health Center (WCCHC) is expanding its services at the Will County Health Department’s Northern Branch Office in Bolingbrook. The WCCHC has recently opened a newly remodeled health center located at 391 Quadrangle Drive (Suite 130) in Bolingbrook. The WCCHC will be providing primary care for ages 5 and up, behavioral health and family planning services at the new clinic location which is located across the parking lot from the previous location.
