Job Summary
An Environmental Health Laboratory Intern will become familiar with all environmental health laboratory programs implemented by the Will County Health Department. Interns will assist analysts with laboratory setup and cleanup, running drinking and septic water analyses, preparing media and chemicals, and performing data entry. The intern will develop an understanding of regulations and rules applicable to environmental health laboratory programs and obtain experience relevant to obtaining a future full-time position as a Laboratory Analyst II—a three (3)-month Spring internship ending May 2026.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The individual will be working toward an accredited bachelor’s degree in biological, chemical, and/or physical sciences.
REQUIREMENTS
Verification of U.S. citizenship or employment eligibility.
DESIRED
Bilingual in Spanish.
Salary Range
Hourly Wage $14.00
