Will County Health Department Behavioral Health Divisionb To Host Back To School Fair On August 8Th

The Will County Health Department’s Behavioral Health Division will host a back-to-school fair on Friday, August 8.

The event will take place in the Community Room of the Will County Health Department’s main office located at 501 Ella Ave. in Joliet and is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The fair will be providing back-to-school supplies, including backpacks, crayons, markers, folders, notebooks, writing utensils and more. Families who attend will also be able to collect information and educational materials from local agencies throughout the Will County Community. Door prizes will be available at the fair as well.

Supplies are limited and registration for the event is mandatory. Registration will close when the maximum number of attendees is reached.

“The Will County Health Department’s Behavior Health Division wants to assist the community in accessing and addressing their needs,” said Michelle Zambrano, Director of Operations of the Behavioral Health Division at the Will County Health Department.

Staff from the Behavioral Health Division will also be on hand to answer any questions about enrolling in behavioral health services offered at the Will County Health Department. The Joliet Fire Department will also be on site with an opportunity to see and touch a fire truck, while also demonstrating how to check vital signs and perform CPR.

The fair will feature information and educational material from various community agencies including AZ Crisis Response, LLC, Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital, Hartgrove Behavioral Health System, Holsten Human Capital Development, Joliet Public Library, Laks International Wellness, Inc, Dr. S. Patch Laksanaprom, Montrose Hospital, Riveredge Hospital, Riverside Medical Center, Silver Oaks Behavioral Health, Shorewood-Troy Public Library, UChicago Medicine Advent Health, and Glen Oaks Hospital.
