Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Mental Health Counselor II: The Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) possesses a Master’s Degree in counseling and guidance, rehabilitation counseling, social work, vocational counseling, psychology, pastoral counseling, family therapy or related field, who has successfully completed a practicum or internship that included a minimum of 1,000 hours of supervised direct service, or who has one year of clinical experience under the supervision of a QMHP.
Mental Health Counselor III: Licensed as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Applicant must have two (2) years of documented experience in direct clinical substance use counseling.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Candidate will hold a Clinical Certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) from the Illinois Certification Board.
REQUIREMENTS
Must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License with minimum auto liability insurance. Verification of employment eligibility or U.S. citizenship.
Salary Range
$63,094 (Starting Salary (Grade 14, Step 13)) to $89,151 (Top of range (Grade 14, Step 27)
$70,104 (Starting Salary (Grade 15, Step 13)) to $99,057 (Top of range (Grade 15, Step 27)
