Job Summary
Paraprofessional position, which promotes WCHD and its services to the community. Clients vary with each program and division. The candidate must be able to work occasional nights and weekends, and travel as required by the program.

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Outreach Specialist I: High School diploma or equivalent. One year of experience in public health. Data entry and Microsoft Word experience.
Outreach Specialist II: Associate degree from an accredited institution in Nursing, Science, Family, Liberal Arts, or Social Work with three (3) years of experience in public health, or a High School diploma or equivalent with two (2) years as an Outreach Specialist I.
REQUIREMENTS
Verification of U.S. citizenship or employment eligibility. Must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License with minimum auto liability insurance.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Certification as an HIV Counselor and Tester for Risk-Based Testing in the State of Illinois (or must complete within 1 year from date of hire). Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Programs: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
DESIRED
Basic knowledge of terminology regarding HIV/AIDS. Certified in HIV Prevention Social Media Outreach. Social Networking experience to reach Men having sex with Men communities.
Salary Range
Grade 9 Hourly Wages ($18.82 – $26.59)
Grade 10 Hourly Wages ($22.35 – $31.58)
