COVID-19 News Update

WHY IS THERE HESITANCY ABOUT THE COVID-19 VACCINE?
WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU
FRIDAY, JUNE 11 | NOON – 1PM
Please join us at our upcoming Community and Faith-Based Listening Session – you talk, we listen, then we will turn ideas into action!
The Will County Health Department (WCHD) is hosting a listening session for community organizations and faith leaders to explore COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy and access among those disproportionately impacted by COVID-19.
What are the barriers, challenges, and strategies to build trust and confidence in COVID-19 vaccines among the communities you serve?
Grab your lunch and share your thoughts as we work to collectively reach our communities in need.

Attention residents of Will County
We need your help! Will County Health Department needs your input on the COVID-19 vaccination to help us better understand where our communities stand on the vaccine. We are working to better center our education and outreach efforts to address concerns and questions about the vaccine and ensure that everyone has equitable access to the vaccine.
We are asking you to take just 5-10 minutes to express your views on the vaccine through this completely anonymous survey. You can complete this survey regardless of whether you have taken the vaccine or not; we need input from everyone. Your responses will not be personally connected to you in any way. We encourage you to express your thoughts so we can better serve our communities.
Thank you so much!
VACCINATE YOUR CHILD AGE 12-17!
Will County Health Department’s COVID-19 vaccination sites are now open to children ages 12 to 17 for the two-dose Pfizer vaccine. Previously, only 16 and older could receive the vaccine.
All minors under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present during their appointment and must remain with the child throughout the entire visit.
Children ages 12-17 may only receive the Pfizer vaccine which has been approved by the FDA and CDC.
Can’t Attend Appointment With Your Child?
If a parent or legal guardian is unable to accompany their child to a clinic run by Will County Health Department, their child can still receive a vaccine if:
- The minor is accompanied by someone over the age of 18 designated by their parent or legal guardian, and
- The minor brings the consent FORM signed by their parent or legal guardian.
Find your Pfizer Vaccine Clinic at our online scheduling portal or below or call 815-774-7386 to schedule an appointment.
