Job Summary
Under the supervision of the Division Director through immediate supervisors; plans, organizes, and evaluates the nutrition component of Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). Conducts group education and health assessments and certifies clients eligible for WIC. Performs hemoglobin screenings; assesses needs for health and social services; develops an individual care plan in conjunction with clients; periodic assessments, follow-up, and referral activities. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, 8:30 am-4:30 pm. Wednesday hours 10:30 am-6:30 pm. Must be flexible to work at satellite clinics and hours as assigned, including evenings.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Nutritional Sciences, Community Nutrition, Clinical Nutrition, Dietetics, or Public Health Nutrition.
REQUIREMENTS
Must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License and minimum auto liability insurance. Verification of U.S. citizenship or employment eligibility.
DESIRED
Bilingual in Spanish.
Salary Range
Grade 12 Hourly Wages ($23.98-$34.73)
