Will County Health Department Releases 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment And Iplan
The IPLAN is a state-required plan that helps guide local health efforts through 2030.
Based on community feedback and data, it focuses on three key areas:
- Access to Food and Nutrition
- Maternal and Child Health
- Behavioral Health and Substance Use
Vaccines are available to residents with Medicaid or Medicare. Limited private insurance plans are also accepted while low-cost vaccines are available for the uninsured or underinsured.
“These priorities reflect what our community told us and what the data makes clear,” said Caitlin Daly, MAPP Program Manager of the Will County Health Department. “By identifying the populations and zip codes facing the greatest barriers, and outlining evidence-based strategies to address them, the plan helps Will County focus its efforts where they will have the greatest impact.”
Both reports are now available on the newly updated Will County MAPP website. To learn more, visit willcountyhealth.org/MAPP.
“These reports and the new MAPP website were created through strong teamwork across many sectors,” Daly added. “Now more than ever, our community depends on collaboration among healthcare, public health, schools, social services, public safety, and residents. These tools reflect our shared commitment to building a healthier future for every family in Will County.”
