Job Summary
Supervises and coordinates Environmental Health services; supervises and coordinates assigned workers and engages in related activities, including professional and support staff. There is some travel within Will County and occasional travel outside the County for continuing education purposes. Schedule calls for Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
An accredited Master’s Degree in Environmental Health, life sciences, or public health and be registered as a Licensed Environmental Health Practitioner in accordance with the provisions of the LEHP Act by the State of Illinois or reciprocal State required and have three (3) years’ experience in Environmental Health Field. Or accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Health, life sciences, or public health and be a LEHP, in accordance with provisions of the LEHP Act, by the state of Illinois or reciprocal State required and have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the environmental health field.
REQUIREMENTS
Must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License and minimum auto liability insurance. Verification of U.S. citizenship or employment eligibility.
DESIRED
Two (2) years of supervisory experience.
