Job Title Note
The Vaccine Clinic Site Coordinator is a temporary position in the Will County Health Department to support COVID-19 response. This position reports to the Vaccine Director and works in the WCHD Vaccine site clinics. The Vaccine Site Coordinator coordinates staff training, ensures accountability, and coordinates safety audits and reporting. The position works with other Mass Vaccination Planning Team members to analyze client schedules to inform daily operations. The Vaccine Site Coordinator ensures procedures and workflows are updated and followed by all staff, ensures staff receive training, and communicates daily with Vaccine Director and other areas of the Mass Vaccination Planning Team. Follows HIPAA policies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in public health, health sciences, nursing, or other medical-related field. One (1) year of work experience in a public health agency or medical-related agency such as a hospital, medical clinic, or Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience as a supervisor with training new employees. or Equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. REQUIREMENTS: Verification of U.S. citizenship or employment eligibility. Must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License, with minimum auto liability insurance. DESIRED: One (1) year of work experience in Incident Command Structure (ICS) during an emergency incident. Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) course completion of IS-100, 200, and 700. Bi-lingual in Spanish.
