Food Protection

EH inspectors focus on managerial control of all phases of food handling: from receiving, to storage, to preparation and serving. This includes permanent facilities as well as temporary facilities established for specific events, mobile food service units, and cottage food operations. EH also inspects facilities participating in government funded “summer feeding” programs, which provide needy children a good meal opportunity when school is not in session. For FY2017, EH conducted 10,551 food program activities
