Job Summary
Works under the supervision of the Division/Department Head through immediate supervisor as directed or required. Duties include telephone reception, registration scheduling, filing, timekeeping and using customer service skills, preparing and editing purchasing requisitions, inventorying all supplies to meet requirements, placing orders with vendors, maintaining a filing system, updating records as required, and evaluating cost purchasing from various vendors. Gathering and entering data into a computer and interacting with vendors in case of delay in delivery of supplies, receipt of damage, or incorrect quantity of goods. May be required to cross-train to other programs within FHS. Candidate must be able to work occasional evening hours and travel to other sites as needed.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30 am-4:30 pm.
Wednesday 10:30 am-6:30 pm.

Minimum Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalency required. Two (2) years of clerical or similar clerical experience or similar clerical background is required. Proficiency in performing the essential job function of Administrative Clerk I. Passing the Health Department’s clerical test.

Verification of U.S. citizenship or employment eligibility. Must possess a valid Illinois Driver’s License with minimum auto liability insurance.

Criminal Background check and/or Driving Record Background check, as needed or requested.

Bi-lingual in Spanish.

Salary Range

Grade 9 Hourly Wages ($17.39 – $25.82)
