COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER MOBILE DENTAL UNIT

The Mobile Dental Unit serves Will County residents who have difficulty accessing quality dental services due to difficulties with transportation or finances.

About The Will County Community Health Center Adult Medicine Mobile Dental Unit

In 2011, a brand new, state of the art, dental mobile unit was launched. It is serving school children, homeless shelters, day cares, rehabilitation centers, health fairs, and other community sites in Will County.

The mobile unit is equipped with digital x-ray technology, computers and two dental chairs. “There are thousands of children and adults in Will County who are not getting needed dental care. Families face transportation and getting time off of work challenges when trying to take their children to the dentist. The mobile dental unit helps to solve those issues,” states Dr. Sangita Garg, Chief Dental Officer of the Will County Community Health Center and van dentist.

Mobile Dental Unit Mission

The mission of the Mobile dental Unit is to provide primary & preventive dental services to the undeserved and low income families.

The dental staff at Will County Community Health Center strives to prevent serious dental problems by educating children and parents about the importance of regular oral care and linkage between oral health, medical health, and overall well being.
